Berty Stationary Basket Catalyst Testing Reactor

Internal recycle reactor is designed with a fixed, circular, screened catalyst bed

This internal recycle reactor is designed with a fixed, circular, screened catalyst bed and a bottom mounted vane type blower. Fluid circulation is directed upward along the vessel wall and deflected downward through the catalyst bed. Large diameter designs are used in applications with high
pressure drop across the catalyst bed or that have very low gas density. The predictable gas/vapor circulation of the Berty design has made it the most widely used gas phase catalyst research tool.
